Fees

Set up fee structures

Build your fee library: fee types, categories, segments, bundles, hourly ranges, paired fees, discount rules, caps and minimums.

Steps

  1. Open the fee library

From the workspace menu choose Fees. The library holds every fee structure your firm uses. Only administrators and users with the fee role can edit it.

  2. Create a fee structure

Choose a fee type: once-off, recurring, rate card, milestone or paired. Give it a name, a category and, if your firm segments clients or services, a segment.

  3. Set the rules

For a rate card, enter roles and rates and an hours range if the fee is estimated. For a recurring fee, set the period and an optional minimum monthly amount. For any hourly fee, add a not to exceed cap if you use one.

  4. Add discount rules

Discount rules define the discounts your firm allows, so a creator picks from them rather than typing a number.

  5. Bundle fees you sell together

A bundle groups fee structures that usually go in one proposal, so a creator adds the set in one step.

  6. Use them in a proposal

In a proposal's fee page, add rows from the library. The row computes from the structure and shows its basis.

Frequently asked questions

Can a creator change a rate on a proposal?

Creators add rows from the library and adjust quantities and hours. Rates and caps come from the structure. Changing a rate is a change to the library, which administrators and fee role users make.

Can we keep separate rate cards for different practices?

Yes. Use categories and segments to organize them.
