Proposal software for management consulting firms
Engagement proposals priced from your rate card, approved by a partner and sent as a document that reads like your firm wrote it. For strategy, operations and specialist consultancies of 10 to 500 staff.
Who this is for
- Strategy, operations, HR, finance and specialist consultancies
- Firms where a partner signs off every proposal before it leaves
- Teams that price by workstream, phase, milestone or retainer
- Firms tired of rebuilding the same fee table in Word or Excel
How these firms price work
A consulting fee is rarely one number. A typical engagement mixes a fixed fee for a defined phase, a rate card for a team, milestones tied to deliverables and a retainer for ongoing advisory. Feebeaver holds each of these as a fee structure and computes the table.
| Item | Basis | Fee |
|---|---|---|
| Phase 1: Diagnostic | Fixed fee | $45,000 |
| Phase 2: Design | Rate card, 3 roles, 6 weeks | $132,000 |
| Phase 3: Pilot | Milestone, 2 payments | $60,000 |
| Steering committee support | Monthly retainer, 6 months | $36,000 |
| Travel | Reimbursable at cost | Billed as incurred |
Sample figures. In Feebeaver each row is computed from a fee structure in your library, so the basis, rates and caps are set once by a principal and applied on every proposal.
From scoping call to accepted fee
Rate card in the fee library
Enter roles and rates once. Hourly ranges and blended rates are fee structures, so a partner changes a rate in one place.
Build from a template
Start from your engagement template, pick the customer, add workstreams and the fee table computes.
Partner approval
A rule such as proposals over $100,000 need a partner routes the proposal to the review queue. The approval is recorded.
Send and accept
The client reads it online, accepts with a click and downloads the exact PDF you approved.
Compared with general proposal tools
PandaDoc and Proposify are built for sales teams sending many similar documents. They are strong on CRM integration and e-signature. A consulting firm sending 20 bespoke engagement proposals a month needs rate card logic, partner approval and a document that holds its formatting.
- Fee logic built for services pricing, not a quantity times price table
- Approval rules on every plan; approvers never need a paid seat
- Editor, client view and PDF share one render path
- No send limits on either plan
Pricing for management consulting
Professional is $29 and Firm is $49 per creator per month billed annually. Approvers are free, so partners and principals who review proposals do not need a seat. Approval rules are included on both plans. 14-day free trial, no card.
Management consulting questions
Can we keep different rate cards for different practices?
Yes. Rate cards are fee structures in the library and can be organized by category and segment, so each practice keeps its own.
Can a partner approve from their phone?
The review queue is a web page, so an approver opens the link, reads the proposal and approves or sends it back from any device. Approvers are free.
Does Feebeaver connect to our CRM?
Not at launch. Customers and contacts live in Feebeaver's Customers module, which you can populate by CSV or Excel import. Integrations are on the 2027 roadmap.
Can we show a retainer and a project fee in one proposal?
Yes. Recurring and once-off fees sit side by side in one fee table, with the recurring term stated on the row.
Can we reuse our firm profile and case studies?
Yes. Keep them as pages in the page library and include them in templates, so every proposal starts with approved wording.
