Fees

Fee tables in a proposal

Add rows from the fee library, set quantities and hours, show subtotals, allowances and the total.

Steps

  1. Open the fee page

Every proposal has at least one fee page. Open it in the editor.

  2. Add rows

Choose Add fee and pick from your library, or add a bundle. Each row shows the item, its basis and the computed amount.

  3. Set quantities and hours

For rate card rows, enter hours within the range. For recurring rows, set the number of periods. The amount recomputes as you type.

  4. Add allowances and reimbursables

Add a reimbursables row as an allowance or billed at cost. It sits on its own line so the professional fee stays clear.

  5. Check the total

Subtotals and the total compute from the rows. Notes under the table carry your assumptions.

  6. Preview

Preview shows the fee page exactly as the client and the PDF will see it.

Why the table is computed

Because every row comes from a fee structure, the basis, rates and caps are consistent across the firm and the arithmetic cannot be wrong. Reviewers see fee tables laid out the same way every time.

Frequently asked questions

Can we type a fee directly without a fee structure?

Create a once-off fee structure for it. Keeping every row in the library is what makes fee tables consistent and reviewable.

Does the total include not to exceed caps or estimates?

The row shows the cap. State in a note under the table whether your total uses estimates or caps.
