Proposals

Templates and the page library

Build templates from reusable pages, use starter templates, apply your brand and manage template versions.

Steps

  1. Open Templates

From the workspace menu choose Templates. You see your templates and the starter templates for your type of firm.

  2. Build the page library

Create pages you reuse: firm profile, team, approach, standard terms. Each is a page in the library with your brand applied.

  3. Assemble a template

Create a template and add pages in order: a cover page, content pages and at least one fee page. Reorder by dragging.

  4. Use merge fields

Insert merge fields for customer, firm and proposal data so pages fill themselves.

  5. Save a version

When you change a template, Feebeaver keeps the previous version. Proposals built from the old version keep their layout.

Page types

  • Cover pages carry the cover style, title, customer and date.
  • Content pages carry text, headings, callouts, pull quotes and images.
  • Fee pages carry the fee table.

Page order, page types and the pages themselves are all data your firm controls. Nothing is hard-coded.

Frequently asked questions

Can a proposal have more than one fee page?

Yes. Add as many pages of each type as the proposal needs.

What happens to old proposals when we change a template?

Nothing. Template versioning keeps the version each proposal was built from.
